Problem

The customer needed to process 5/16″ minus material into three products: asphalt chip, sand, and Ag lime.

Solution

• Installed a 6×18 TCI double deck high-frequency screen to separate the material.
• The top deck had an 8 mesh opening, while the bottom deck had a 30 mesh opening.
• The top deck overs (#8 x 5/16″) produced a clean asphalt chip.
• The bottom deck overs (#30 x #8) became manufactured sand.
• The through product (minus #30) was a premium aglime.
